| Interesting thoughts. I'm just curious as to why VZ and not T? There is really not much difference. VZ at $29.41 which is where it is right now yields 6.26% with a div. of $1.84. The forward pe is 12 and the last 2 quarter's earnings were slight beats so I expect the pe to be accurate. The ROE is 14. VZ is going to feature to Motorola Droid with sales about 1/10 that of the iphone which is still at this point is unique to T. T at $25.90 which is where it is right now yields 6. 33% with a div. of $1.64. The forward pe is 11 and the last 2 quarter's earnings were slight beats so I expect the pe to be accurate on this stock as well. The ROE is 12.2. The other two stocks I have been considering with about 6% div.'s are BP and DUK. They, however, are not germane to the communication stock dicussion.
